Hawk who is laying down in the horse trailer had a very traumatic incident. He was very thin, and the owners had tried to load him into a trailer using chains hooked tohis back legs and tried to drag him in. His hind tendons were torn and he could not stand up.
The other horse in the trailer had a fractured front leg.
A local veterinarian had been on site and discovered that the horses had not been sick but were down due to their injuries caused by abuse.
After contacting CFH the horses were miraculouusly loaded into the trailer and take awan. The gray horse had x-rays taken and it was determined that the leg could be healed.
Hawk on the other hand would require major care and would have to learn how to once again stand and use his legs once they healed.
Both horses fully recovered and were adopted together to the same family.
