This page is being dedicated to Ginger who out of the goodness of her heart rescued 2 very thin horses last year. She has brought them back to health and now has become ill herself. She has had a double mastectomy, has skin cancer and due to her diabetic and bad kidney conditions cannot take the chemo or radiation treatments. The alternative treatments are costly and in order to take care of herself she would not be able to provide the needed money to feed the horses she has come to love.
Ginger walks the horses each day out in the desert, not once but 2-3 times a day. This gives her a reason to keep going and to fight the cancer.
Wisdom (Wissie) and Dakota are older Arabs 28 and 26 yrs. old and she is worried about who will care for them if she dies. She wants to out live them so she knows they will be cared for properly.
They have their feet done regularly, dental work is up to date and all they need is Ginger to take care of them.
Please help make this possible by donating $10 per month towards the care of these horses. I will be paying the feed store directly each month on her feed bill, so she knows they will not have to be taken away.
Thank you for your support!
Update on March 15, 2015 – Wisdom passed away from old age. He had a few great years with Ginger and she did a gret job loving and providing for him with your help. Dakota is lonely and she spends much of her time walking him in the desert and playing with him in the corral.
